XT Review

1. Exchange Overview

XT (commonly known as XT.com) is a feature-rich crypto exchange that blends a wide selection of trading tools with a relatively accessible onboarding process. It’s a platform that caters to both beginners and more experienced traders, thanks to its broad product suite and optional KYC structure. That versatility makes it appealing for users who value privacy but still want access to advanced trading options.

One of the exchange’s strongest selling points is its sheer range of supported assets and markets. XT offers more than 1,000 crypto tokens across spot and derivatives markets, often listing newer or less mainstream tokens earlier than larger exchanges. This focus on variety attracts traders who actively hunt for emerging opportunities rather than sticking to blue-chip assets.

Another area where XT stands out is its commitment to expanding beyond simple trading. The platform includes copy trading, automated bots, staking products, and even NFT-related services, which gives users more ways to engage with their funds. It’s an all-in-one ecosystem rather than just a trading venue, and for many users, that convenience makes a difference.

At the same time, XT walks a middle line between centralized control and unrestricted trading. It offers optional identity verification with high withdrawal limits for non-KYC accounts, which is still rare in the current regulatory climate. Combined with frequent promotions, trading fee discounts, and reward campaigns, XT leans heavily into user acquisition and retention through incentives.

Pros

  • Wide range of supported coins and trading pairs
  • High non-KYC withdrawal limit up to $200,000 daily
  • Multiple trading tools including bots, copy trading, and demo accounts
  • Frequent promotions, rewards, and fee reduction coupons
  • Integrated ecosystem with staking, loans, and NFT support
  • Accessible global availability with multilingual support

Cons

  • Trading fees slightly above industry averages
  • Limited regulatory licensing and transparency
  • Fiat access depends entirely on third-party providers
  • NFT and launchpad activity relatively low
  • Interface can feel cluttered for new users
  • Limited public information on audits, ownership and safety features

2. Fiat Deposits, Withdrawals and Fees

XT does not support direct fiat deposits or withdrawals through traditional banking channels such as wire transfers or credit card processing handled in-house. This means users cannot deposit euros, dollars, or other fiat currencies directly into their exchange wallet via bank accounts. Instead, all fiat access is routed through external providers (gateways), or alternative marketplace solutions.

3rd Party Gateways

To bridge this gap, XT integrates several third-party payment processors that allow users to buy crypto using fiat currencies. Supported providers include Volet, Simplex, MoonPay, Banxa, and Mercuryo, each offering different payment methods such as credit cards, debit cards, and local payment solutions depending on the region.

Fees through these gateways tend to be noticeably higher than direct deposit methods, which is typical across the industry. Users should expect a combination of service fees and spreads built into the purchase price, making it more expensive than depositing crypto directly. Still, these services provide a convenient on-ramp for beginners or those entering the market without existing crypto holdings.

If you already hold crypto on other exchanges or wallets, you can deposit assets to XT with zero fees.

P2P Market

XT also offers a peer-to-peer marketplace where users can buy and sell crypto directly with each other using local payment methods. This option can sometimes provide better rates compared to third-party gateways, especially in regions where local payment systems are widely supported.

However, the availability of merchants varies significantly by country. While the P2P market is relatively active overall, users in smaller or less supported regions may find limited offers or less competitive pricing. As with any P2P platform, users should also take standard precautions, such as trading with verified merchants and carefully reviewing transaction terms before proceeding.

Crypto Trading Markets

XT offers a broad mix of trading markets that cover both traditional crypto trading and more advanced derivatives products. The platform leans heavily into variety, which makes it attractive for traders who want diversity without switching platforms.

  • Spot: Spot trading is the core market on XT, where users can buy and sell crypto 1,000+ assets at current market prices. It supports a wide range of tokens, including many smaller-cap assets that aren’t always available on larger exchanges, which adds appeal for altcoin traders.
  • Margin: Margin trading is available with up to 20x leverage, allowing users to borrow funds and increase their position size. This feature is better suited for experienced traders, as it introduces higher risk due to liquidation mechanics.
  • Futures: XT provides quarterly delivery and perpetual futures contracts with 150x leverage, enabling users to speculate on price movements without owning the underlying asset. The futures market has 600+ pairs, fairly high volume and includes standard tools like long and short positions, though liquidity can be thin on unpopular altcoin pairs.
  • TradFi: The platform also added plenty of tokenized or hybrid assets that mimic traditional financial instruments. While the selection1 is not as extensive as major platforms, the choice of stocks, indices, commodities and forex pairs covers most of the popularly traded assets. Some tradfi pairs have up to 500x leverage.

XT’s fee structure2 is simple but sits slightly above industry averages, especially for derivatives. That said, the platform offers multiple ways to reduce costs, which helps active users bring fees down over time.

  • Spot trading fees are set at 0.2% for both makers and takers. While this is higher than some competitors, users can reduce fees by 25% when paying with the XT native token. Additional discounts are often available through promotions, trading campaigns, and deposit-related rewards.
  • Futures trading fees are 0.04% for makers and 0.06% for takers. The maker rates are slightly above the lowest-cost exchanges but remain competitive overall, while taker fees are average. XT does offer VIP tiers, and interestingly, the entry threshold is relatively low, requiring around $200,000 in 30-day trading volume for initial discounts.

The simplest fee reductions can come from paying fees with the XT native token, although this only works on spot markets. Furthermore, the platform’s signup rewards3 include many fee reduction coupons, which can significantly lower trading costs for active or newly onboarded users. Daily trading tasks can also be used to obtain Futures trial funds, which can be used to open positions without needing actual capital, while profits made can still be withdrawn.

Lastly, using our special referral code “L2TRUC” applies a permanent 5% trading fee reduction to your account. Simply using this code during account creation ensures lifetime savings at no cost or drawback.

Other Trading Features

XT goes beyond basic trading with a wide range of additional tools designed to suit different strategies and experience levels. Let’s take a look at some of the major trading features:

  • Demo trading: Users can practice trading without risking real funds, which is useful for beginners testing strategies or learning the interface.
  • Copy trading: This feature allows users to automatically replicate trades from more experienced traders, making it easier to participate without deep market knowledge.
  • Recurring or scheduled purchases: XT supports automated buying strategies, enabling users to invest regularly over time through auto-invest or DCA setups.
  • Subaccounts: Traders can create multiple accounts under one profile to separate strategies or manage funds more efficiently.
  • Trading bots: The platform offers built-in bots, including grid and martingale strategies for spot and futures, as well as DCA bots for long-term accumulation.
  • Leveraged tokens: These provide exposure to leveraged positions without the need to manage margin or liquidation risks manually.
  • Futures earn: Users can generate yield on idle futures balances, adding a passive income layer to active trading accounts.
  • Pre-market trading: XT supports early trading access to select tokens before official listings, which appeals to users looking for early entry opportunities.

Other Features and Services

XT rounds out its offering with a mix of financial services and ecosystem tools, although activity levels vary across features.

  • Loans: XT provides crypto-backed loans that allow users to borrow funds without selling their assets. This can be useful for short-term liquidity needs, though terms and availability depend on supported collateral.
  • Staking: Users can stake selected cryptocurrencies to earn passive rewards. The offering is fairly standard, with flexible and fixed options depending on the asset.
  • NFT marketplace: XT includes an NFT platform where users can buy, sell, and mint digital assets. While functional, it doesn’t have the same level of activity as leading NFT marketplaces.
  • Optional KYC: One of XT’s more notable advantages is its optional verification model. Users can withdraw up to $200,000 daily without completing KYC, which is significantly more generous than many competing exchanges.
  • ATM card: XT offers both a physical Mastercard and a virtual Visa card. The physical card requires holding high amount of account assets, making it impractical for most users. However, the virtual card is accessible globally and carries a ~0.50% fee for both deposits and spending.
  • Launchpad and Launchpool: XT does support token launch events and farming opportunities, but activity in this area is relatively limited compared to larger exchanges, with fewer high-profile projects.

4. User Experience

XT delivers a generally solid user experience that balances functionality with accessibility. The platform tries to cater to a wide audience, and while it succeeds in offering many tools, the overall experience can feel slightly cluttered at times due to the number of features packed into one interface.

Overall User Experience

The interface is customizable to a degree, allowing users to adjust layouts and prioritize the tools they use most. Navigation is fairly intuitive once users get familiar with the structure, though beginners may need some time to get comfortable due to the sheer number of options.

XT also provides guides, tutorials, and onboarding prompts that help new users understand key features. The mobile app closely matches desktop functionality, which is a plus for traders who want to manage positions on the go without losing access to advanced tools.

Trading User Interface

The trading interface is feature-rich and designed with active traders in mind. It includes multiple order types such as limit, market, and multiple conditional orders, along with integrated charting tools and indicators.

Users can swap between light and dark color schemes and change a few basic settings, but unfortunately the overall trading user interface is not particularly customizable. Panels can’t be resized, moved or removed, so tailoring the UI to personal preferences is very limited. On the upside, the UI is clean and fully functional, and we haven’t noticed any issues with it.

Customer Support Channels

XT offers several customer support channels, including a web-based help center with articles and FAQs, as well as a ticketing system for more specific issues. Live chat support is available, though response times can vary depending on demand.

The platform is also active on social media, where users can seek updates or general assistance. Localized Telegram channels4 in more than a dozen languages and regions are available for quick questions. Email support is available for more formal inquiries, but there is no widely advertised phone support, which is fairly standard for crypto exchanges.

XT supports a wide range of languages, making it accessible to a global user base:

Company Info and Overview

XT.com was founded in 2018 and operates as a centralized cryptocurrency exchange with a global user base. The platform positioned itself as a socially driven exchange, integrating community features alongside trading services, although its core offering remains focused on trading and financial products.

While XT has grown steadily over the years, it doesn’t have the same level of public transparency as top-tier exchanges. Basic company information is available, but details around leadership and corporate structure are somewhat limited, which is not uncommon among offshore crypto platforms.

Regulatory Compliance and Licenses

XT operates in a loosely regulated environment and doesn’t hold major licenses from top-tier financial regulators such as those in the US or EU. Instead, it follows a more casual compliance model, which allows it to offer features like optional KYC and unrestricted derivatives trading.

This approach provides accessibility but may raise concerns for users who prioritize strict regulatory oversight. Current licenses include a basic MSB in United States, and a license in United Arab Emirates. As always, users should consider their local regulations and risk tolerance when choosing an exchange.

Available and Restricted Countries

XT is available in most of the world, but like most exchanges, it restricts access in certain jurisdictions due to regulatory requirements.

XT is available in a total of 214 countries, and restricts users from 11 countries. Restricted countries include Canada, China, Cuba, Indonesia, North Korea, Singapore, Sudan, Syria, United Arab Emirates, United States, and Venezuela.

KYC will not be possible from any of these restricted countries. The only restricted service for unverified users are fiat deposits. XT doesn’t restrict any trading markets based on user location, so all users can use Futures, staking or other services.

Platform and Funds Safety

XT states that it uses a combination of cold and hot wallet storage systems to protect user funds, with the majority of assets held in cold storage. This is standard practice across the industry and helps reduce exposure to online threats. Merkle-tree Proof of Reserves reports5 are published once a month, so everyone can verify that all customer deposits are accounted for.

The platform has a dedicated insurance fund for spot balances, ensuring users can get compensated in case of stolen funds. There is a bug bounty program6 to assist with security audits, but no (known) major security partnerships, which places it slightly behind some competitors.

However, there is limited publicly verifiable information regarding specific funds security protocols or third-party audits. XT has not reported any major security breaches or hacks that would result in customers losing funds, which is a positive sign, though the lack of overall transparency around safety protocols may be a drawback for more cautious users.

Nevertheless, XT is a legitimate crypto exchange without any major security issues, concerns or scam reports in its fairly long history. It’s considered one of the more reliable no-KYC exchanges, and we’ve seen no evidence to suggest otherwise.

User Account Security

XT provides a solid set of account-level security features that users can enable to protect their funds. The basics include two-factor authentication, withdrawal address whitelisting, and anti-phishing codes to prevent malicious emails.

Passkeys are also supported. Login notifications are always sent, and users can review login history and device management to immediately detect and handle any suspicious activity.

Additional protections such as trading passwords and fund passwords do not exist, which would help protect sensitive actions like trading or withdrawals. Nevertheless, the existing tools are generally sufficient if properly configured.

6. Conclusion

XT is a feature-packed exchange that leans heavily into easy access, asset variety, and user incentives. It may not have the polish or regulatory backing of top-tier platforms, but it compensates with a broad product suite and generous access for non-KYC users.

Who It’s Best For (and Not For)

Best for:

  • Beginners: Suitable, thanks to demo trading, copy trading, and simple onboarding, though the interface may feel busy at first.
  • Active traders: A strong fit due to futures markets, trading bots, and frequent promotions that reduce costs.
  • Passive investors: Decent option with staking, auto-invest, and futures earn features, though yields and options are not market-leading.
  • Privacy-focused users: One of the better choices, given high withdrawal limits without mandatory KYC.

Not ideal for:

  • Regulation-focused users: Not ideal, as the platform lacks strong regulatory oversight and transparency.
  • Fiat users: No direct deposit or withdrawal methods means payments are expensive and potentially slow.

Final Verdict

XT works best as an all-in-one platform for users who want access to a wide range of tools without restrictions or strict verification requirements. It delivers a strong mix of trading features, passive income options, and automation tools, making it especially appealing to active traders and experiment-driven users.

The exchange’s biggest strength lies in its accessibility. Optional KYC, high withdrawal limits, and support for many regions make it easy to get started and use the platform without heavy restrictions. This alone gives it an edge over more regulated competitors.

At the same time, XT does come with trade-offs. The lack of strong regulatory oversight and limited transparency means it may not suit users who prioritize maximum security assurances. It sits somewhere in the middle tier of security, offering solid functionality but not the same level of trust as industry leaders.

Overall, XT is a capable and versatile exchange that delivers on features and usability. For users comfortable with its risk profile, it can serve as a powerful trading hub with plenty of tools to explore and strategies to deploy.
