About

CEX Comparison reviews and compares centralized cryptocurrency exchanges so users can make proper choices without the usual noise. The site focuses on practical details and data from official sources and respected tracking websites. That includes fees, supported assets, security practices, user experience, and customer support. We stick to what can be checked, tested, or reasonably verified.

CEX Comparison is an independent project. It is not owned, operated, or influenced by any cryptocurrency exchange. None of the exchanges listed paid to change ratings or secure a better position. If referral or affiliate links exist, they do not affect how exchanges are reviewed or ranked. Affiliate links are added because they provide special signup bonuses, such as increased new user rewards or fee discounts.

How Reviews Work

Each exchange goes through a consistent review process. The goal is fairness, not promotion. Reviews consider:

  • Fee structures, including hidden costs or discounts where possible
  • Account features and limitations
  • Security measures such as custody practices and incident history
  • Regulatory positioning and transparency
  • Liquidity and trading conditions
  • User interface and general usability
  • Customer support responsiveness

Information comes from a mix of publicly available data, platform testing, user feedback, and ongoing monitoring. Markets change fast, so reviews are updated when meaningful changes occur.

Ratings and Comparisons

Scores are based on weighted criteria. The exact weighting may shift over time as the industry changes. That keeps comparisons relevant rather than locked to outdated assumptions.

Our comparisons aim to be clear and useful. We do our best to highlight differences without forcing any specific winner.

What works for a beginner may not suit an active trader, so it’s important to use proper filtering and sorting options, and carefully review data on deposits, fees or other criteria that matches your needs.

Editorial Independence

CEX Comparison maintains a strict separation between editorial content and any commercial relationships. All reviews are written by CEX Comparison staff, and not by exchanges listed.

If compensation is received through affiliate links, it is disclosed where required. These relationships never influence conclusions. If a platform performs poorly, it will be reflected as such.

Accuracy and Responsibility

Crypto is a high-risk environment. Prices move fast, regulations shift, and platforms can change policies with little notice. CEX Comparison aims for accuracy, but it cannot guarantee that all information is always current.

Nothing on this site should be taken as financial advice. Users should verify details directly with exchanges and consider their own risk tolerance before making decisions.

Trust and Transparency

Trust is earned slowly and lost quickly. This site tries to earn it by being consistent, transparent, and a bit skeptical when needed. That’s why not all exchange reviews we publish are positive, and we do our best to provide honest assessments of platforms.

Mistakes can happen. When they do, we will make proper corrections openly. Feedback is welcome, especially when it helps improve accuracy or clarity, so don’t hesitate to use our contact page.

That being said, all reviews published are based on our personal experiences and actual usage of each and every exchange. Some users may disagree with our ratings or recommendations, which is why we advise using our filtering tools to find platforms that suit your needs.

How Are Exchanges Chosen?

We only list globally available crypto exchanges that are consistently within top 50 by trading volume as tracked by reputable coin tracking websites CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, or LiveCoinWatch.

Platforms that only accept customers in few regions or those with suspicious trading volumes reported are not listed. Even then, choosing exchanges to list is entirely up to our staff, with safety and satisfaction of our visitors always at the forefront.

Who This Is For

CEX Comparison is built for anyone looking at centralized exchanges and wondering which one actually fits their needs. Beginners, experienced traders, and the crypto-curious are all welcome.

The aim is simple: cut through marketing claims and present information that helps investors find the right trading platforms for their needs.
